ATLANTA MAYOR ANDRE DICKENS

Council Unanimously Backs Resolution Against State Takeover of Airport

I introduced a resolution that was unanimously adopted by my Atlanta City Council colleagues that pushes back on the state’s attempts to wrest control of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. They see a beautiful asset that’s been efficiently run and try and take it over, but we say NO!

We’re ready to fight to make sure that the world’s busiest airport stays locally controlled.

We have a plan, and I’ll be working with the mayor’s office to fight this unjustified takeover attempt. I also need you to call and write letters to your local and state representatives. It’s going to take the entire community to show how important this airport, that employs 60,000 Atlantans, is to our community.
